Description
Learn to make Canned Biscuit Donuts with this simple guide. Quick, fluffy, and endlessly customizable, they’re a perfect treat for breakfast or desser
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 biscuits) of refrigerated biscuit dough
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional for glazing)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a deep pan or skillet to 350°F (175°C). Use enough oil to submerge the donuts.
- While the oil heats, remove the biscuits from the can and flatten each one slightly with your hands or a rolling pin. Use a round cutter or the lid of a bottle to cut a hole in the center to form the donut shape.
- Carefully drop the donuts and donut holes into the hot oil, frying for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Use tongs to flip and remove the donuts from the oil.
- Place the cooked donuts on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. While the donuts are still warm, coat them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- For an extra treat, melt chocolate chips in the microwave and dip the donuts into the melted chocolate for a sweet, gooey glaze. Let cool slightly before serving.
