  • 1 ½ cups (180g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons (57g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • ¾ cup (95g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, combine cheese, butter, flour, salt, and paprika. Pulse until crumbly.
  3. Add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, pulsing until dough forms.
  4. Transfer dough onto a floured surface, roll it out to about ⅛ inch thickness.
  5. Cut into small squares using a knife or pizza cutter. Use a toothpick to poke a hole in each cracker.
  6. Transfer crackers to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes until crispy and lightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool before serving. Store in an airtight container.
