- 1 tube (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg, separated
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1–2 tsp milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into four rectangles, pressing the seams together.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth and creamy.
- Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each crescent rectangle.
- Fold each rectangle over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
- Place the danishes on the prepared baking sheet and brush with the beaten egg white.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly.
- In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar and milk to create a smooth icing. Drizzle over the cooled danishes before serving.
