- 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1/2 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
- 1 jar (24 oz) gluten-free marinara sauce
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, gluten-free breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, oregano, salt, pepper, and milk. Mix until well combined, but do not overmix.
- Using your hands or a small ice cream scoop, shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour the marinara sauce and bring it to a gentle simmer. Add the browned meatballs to the sauce. Cover and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are fully cooked.
- Serve the meatballs hot over gluten-free pasta, zoodles, or enjoy them as an appetizer.
