Description
The Panera Caprese Sandwich combines fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and aromatic basil on toasted bread with a tangy balsamic glaze. A must-try classic!

- 2 ciabatta rolls or baguette slices
- 4 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
- 1 large ripe tomato, sliced
- 6–8 fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Slice the ciabatta rolls or baguette lengthwise. Drizzle the cut sides with olive oil.
- Layer the bottom half of the bread with fresh mozzarella slices, followed by the tomato slices. Season the tomato slices with a pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Add fresh basil leaves on top of the tomatoes. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the basil.
- Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread. For extra flavor, lightly press the sandwich and toast it in a grill pan for 2-3 minutes per side or until slightly golden and warm.
- Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
