Ingredients
Scale
- For the crust:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- For the filling:
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in the flour until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 24 equal portions. Roll each into a small ball and press them into the cups of a mini muffin tin, forming small shells.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Sprinkle a small amount of chopped pecans into each dough-lined cup, then pour the filling mixture over the pecans, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Top each tassie with a few more chopped pecans.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and the edges of the crust are golden brown.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
