  • 1 whole turkey (1012 pounds), thawed and patted dry
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rub the turkey inside and out with olive oil or melted butter. Season generously with salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, and sage.
  2. Place the onion, lemon slices, and garlic inside the cavity of the turkey.
  3. Place the prepared turkey in the slow cooker, breast side up, and cover.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) at the thickest part.
  5. For a golden, crispy skin, transfer the turkey to a baking sheet and broil on high for 5-10 minutes until browned.
  6. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and serve warm.
