- 1 whole turkey (10–12 pounds), thawed and patted dry
- 1/4 cup olive oil or melted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, quartered
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
Instructions
- Rub the turkey inside and out with olive oil or melted butter. Season generously with salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, and sage.
- Place the onion, lemon slices, and garlic inside the cavity of the turkey.
- Place the prepared turkey in the slow cooker, breast side up, and cover.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) at the thickest part.
- For a golden, crispy skin, transfer the turkey to a baking sheet and broil on high for 5-10 minutes until browned.
- Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and serve warm.
